This work has as objective to evidence Santa Catarina´s industrial dynamics characteristics, taking into account the constitution profile of its industrial structure, and the decurrent reorganization process  impacts  that follow the great changes in the worldwide economy. The disruption of the national industrialization standard mattered in significant adjustments on the regional economies, in order to fit in the competitiveness conditions imposed to the Brazilian market in the range of commercial opening politics and economic deregulation. In this context, the Catarinense industrial structure tried to adjust itself to the national industrialization standard, modernizing its productive park, introducing new organizational, managerial and productive methods, increasing its participation internationally. The reorganization strategies results denote that the current state secondary sector structure has being coming even closer to the national industry standard characteristics. As for its current particularities and structures it can be distinguished: the dynamic segments participation growth in the state economy, however, without decreasing the traditional sectors importance; the existence of a widely diversified industrial park, as for the size of the companies as well as in relation to the enterprises size; the integration deepening with the national market and the insertion intensification within the international market.
