When it comes to decision-making is the economic rationality to the response to the
actions of economic agents? The maximization of profit alone can guide the decisions of decision makers? This work begins a theoretical discussion about the decision, in particular those involved in the creation of beef cattle, which presents and argues that decisions are not only reflected the attitudes rational given by new-school classic, but also strongly correlated with the issues of institutional stamp, being presented through the formal rules in the form of laws, but also the informal rules of society such as culture, codes of ethics and traditions, and other environmental factors which influence the decision of the creator of beef cattle. The result finds that the agents, or the creators of beef cattle, in this case the creators of the municipality of Floraí - Pr take into account the rationale, but not as single factor, showing that cognitive or are around you are also of great weight in its final decision, and rational or not.
