Industry behavior patterns are influenced by socio-economic, demographic and cultural changes. The different market formations occour due to the behavior of the productive sector that, given the perception of consumption, define positions. Looking into the Brazilian beer industry, new micro and small breweries have emerged in recent years, which in general terms present a new position in the sector. In this context, it is possible to verify patterns of spatial distribution between Micro and Small Brewing Companies (MSC) and Medium and Large Brewing Companies (MLC), in order to distinguish their configuration in the new industrial production scenario of Brazilian beers and to characterize comparatively industries by size. The study concludes that, although they operate with the production of beers, the distinctions occur both in the characterization as in the spatial distribution of the MSC and MLC breweries companies. In order to emphasize the determinants of cluster formation in certain regions, an analysis with primary data, obtained by means of an online questionnaire addressed to the entrepreneurs of micro and small companies (MSC), in the state of Paraná, is made. The results show that the GDP per capita variable has a greater impact to choose the location of the MPE and, the concentration of MPE Cervejeiras impacts on the growth of the sector.
