This dissertation is about the internal migration of formal workers in the State of Parana, covering two periods: from 1999 to 2000 and from 2008 to 2009. The main purpose is to identify the municipalities that showed formal worker’s spatial mobility. To identify this we calculated the Migratory Efficiency Index (MEI), based on data from RAIS-Migra. This data is provided from the Work and Employment Ministry (MTE) and enables longitudinal accompaniment of formally employed workers. The correlation analysis undertaken in this study investigates the main features of the cities that show movement of migrant labour flows, and through the use of spatial analysis we also sought to characterize spatial interactions relating to migrant workers. The main results pointed that municipalities with fewer than 20.000 residents are overview regions of evasion of formal workers and the municipalities with 20 and 50 thousand absorption regions. Municipalities with more than 50 thousand have been identified mostly as regions of rotation of labor formal. Still as result verified the presence of no autocorrelation for Migratory Efficiency Index and presence of positive spatial autocorrelation for Migrant Flow identified clusters in the middle region of Curitiba.
