This work aims to analyse the main capitalist economies behavior considering in face of the crisis of capital valorization which brings up, throug its development, the increasing human labour unemployment. Based on Marx historical materialism, an analysis of the main economic activity and labour market indicators behavior of the world´s advanced capitalist economies, as well as the Brazilian economy, from 1980 until the end of 1990, will be discussed. The human labour unemployment has been associated with the development and use of new technologies and also with the rules of  labour market. The hypothesis of this research is that these two points of view are mistaken. The actual reason for the lack of work would be the low increase of economies, besides the economical, political and social conditions such as nature of investments, role of the State and direction of social economical politics adopted.
